NieR:Automata, the 2017 action RPG directed by YOKO TARO and developed by PlatinumGames and Square Enix, has reached another milestone! We’re proud to say that, between physical shipments and digital downloads, PlayStation 4 and Steam, NieR:Automata has sold over three million units worldwide!
First of all, we’d like to extend our deepest thanks to all of you who’ve played and loved NieR:Automata!
And of course we couldn’t have done any of it without Square Enix, director YOKO TARO, character designer Akihiko Yoshida, music composer Keiichi Okabe or any of the other talented creators who helped us make NieR:Automata into something truly special.

NieR:Automata officially crossed the three million mark on June 6 – which just so happened to be director YOKO TARO’s birthday! He approached the day with characteristic good cheer…
